DB College, Sasthamcotta

Since childhood, I heard many stories about the college from my Mother, her sisters, elder cousins, and one of my elder brother-in-law who studied their pre-degree courses. The college is famous for monkeys' active presence living in and around the Sasthamcotta Dharmasatha Temple and the DB College. Visiting the "the great" DB college was on my bucket list for an extended period. And recently, I got an opportunity to complete that task. 

The campus is situated at the heart of Sasthamcotta Panchayath behind the Sasthamcotta temple, adjacent to the Sasthamcotta Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Kerala. I accompanied my mother to the college to collect her pre-degree course list. After finishing our main task we walked around the campus, she was too eager to show me her old classrooms and labs. I met two of my mother's classmates from college.

After walking a lot, we thought to take a break at the campus canteen. My mother ordered  Tea and I choose to go with one lime news. In between, my mother excused herself to make a call and relaxed more comfortably by sipping lemon juice listening to Malayalam romantic songs. To kill my time, I started observing the happenings around. I saw students who discuss a lot about movies, dress, and gossips about something etc.

Accidently, my eyes fell on something that always attracted my interest. And my muscle memory that connected to my passion for photography kicked and took this 👇.

                                                        The interval time shot from all most every campus romance.

Be it school or college, during their interval time, this scene will reoccur at each and every corner of the institution. In classrooms, corridors, library, canteen, bus stops or any other place. The friends will be so active in making their friend's love successful.
